  • FAQ - Bi-level Water Fountains - Reversible versus Versatile

What's the difference between a reversible water fountain and a versatile water fountain?

With a reversible water fountain, the master unit (the one with the compressor inside, and/or the one with the bottle filler on it) can be on the left or right, but it's height, relative to the dependent unit (with no compressor inside) always stays the same.

With a versatile water fountain, the master unit can be on the left or the right, AND it’s height, relative to the dependent side can also be higher or lower.

NOTE: The same distinctions hold true for water fountains without bottle fillers. We just chose these examples because it's just easier to see what's going on with a bottle filler attached (because it always goes on the master side).
