This spring cartridge insert is one of the most common parts to replace on Elkay, Halsey Taylor, and Oasis pushbutton drinking fountains, coolers, and bottle fillers. It goes inside the regulator to control the flow of water when the push button is pressed (or released). As they age, they may not completely seal the waterway when the button is released, resulting in an ongoing trickle of water.
